FESTIVE WORKOUT

ANOTHER HELPING OF FRESH AIR PLEASE!

It's great to be back on the North Coast after the Christmas festivities. We were really lucky to miss the rain on the second walk today, the winter sunshine brought out the best of the colour on the cliffs, with the deep russet bracken and warm grey stony outcrops.

We made our way along the footpath following our regular route toward Egypt, hugging the cliff slopes sheltered from the strong winds overhead. This is an undulating track dropping into a small wooded valley, hugging the cliff slopes passing through bare wind battered Blackthorn bushes. At our way point on Egypt’s outcrop we took time to rest and to take in some of the views.

As we turned for home Taka and Rolo picked up the pace, I'm sure they could imagine themselves back home in front of the fire. But before we could return we had to climb back up the cliff path quite a workout, there was no stopping Taka, she could smell home! Is really great to see Taka and Rolo together again getting on so well, as we returned to the car for a well earned rest.
