BAKERLOO LINE TO THE EAST

DOG'S PICCADILLY CIRCUS

...it seems that most of the dog owners in the East had converged on Gorey, making the most of the breathtaking morning down on the beach.

I took the crew down to the lower beach so that we could have our own space. My younger member of the group Winnie who is a bundle of fun and full of youthful energy was distracted my the wide range of potential pals. We had practiced recall for the last two days using both hand signals and calls, she responded every time racing to my heel - it’s the start of a bond forming between us, lovely.

On the way back the beach had cleared of other dogs and we had the run of it. Winnie would pick up a peace of seaweed and the others would chase after her, totally mad!

GIZMO'S PLAYTIME

- It’s really great to see how quick he has picked up using the toilet training pads, a few close misses but the intention is there. His energy level is high when I’m with him, playing tug-of-war with his toy and generally whizzing about. By the time I leave he’s sitting on my lap very sleepy, ready the nap a while.

MID WEEK ENERGISER!

This walk across to Egypt is gentle on the way out so gives some rest between the tougher parts. the dogs love it. Much harder on the return, they always seem to get a second-wind dispatching the up hill section in their stride.

The Island is one-in-a-million on a day like this, with Sark and Guernsey on show.
