Wildlife has always been at the centre of my life, from my earliest memories playing with slowworms and toads, through to my treasured experiences working in the Brazilian Atlantic rainforest studying primates and marsupials.
I’m experienced in handling a wide range of animals from, Large Dogs (with issues!), Puppies, Small Pets and Farm Stock to the Exotic, having a confident and relaxed way with them all.
I’ve been very fortunate to have lived a duel life involving wildlife conservation and design/marketing, sometimes heavily weighted toward one than the other, sometimes in balance. Animal welfare is a major concern of mine and with the present state of the economy, people have had to return to work or circumstances have changed - altering the amount of time available for their furry friends. This is were I come in, giving a helping hand when time is restricted for the owner to provide daily care or when they go on a well deserved holiday.
MY APPROACH
I have a very gentle way with animals, picking up on their tempo and easing into the relationship with confidence to establish understanding and guidance…
…it’s the way they seem to like it!
Sometimes it takes seconds, other times days if the dog has issues with “outsiders”, in time they all treat me as part of the group - someone that offers; understanding, safety, compassion, friendship.
I will take your dog out one-to-one at first to reinforce the developing bond, before introducing them to my dog Ella (Spanish Waterdog) who plays a role in this process, as she is the first to walk with newcomers and rarely leaves my heel on group outings.
I’m selective in balancing the dogs energy levels and temperament so all receive the right exercise and have fun with their pals.
