BUILDING TRUST THROUGH GUIDANCE

To help Romeo to address his urge to mount other dogs I have fast-tracked him by extending the normal hour walk and including him with the half-day adventure crew,

allowing us the time to bond and develop an understanding through my gentle guidance and soft positive correction. He has taken this onboard swiftly enabling the crew and me to develop a bond with him, he is bright eyed and willing to make friends, now Romeo has come to terms with the groups etiquette and social ranking.

It's only the second outing with us and I felt that an off the lead playtime would make him free to be himself, now I had built his trust. Winnie the forever inquisitive impetuous little character got to know Romeo in her bossy special little way not giving him a minute when she decided to play. The others welcomed him into their play without hesitation due to earlier introductions on lead and they had also watched me giving him the “Terry treatment” which they all receive making them feel like the special one.
