KING OF THE CASTLE
Scrambling over the rocks at Green Island with so much to discover under every rock, bombarded by seaside smells and freshly exposed rock pools, It was a hive of activity as they jostled for the high ground - Who would be the King of the Castle?
Rolo was at a disadvantage with his little legs so my helping hands on occasions did the trick and he was in the thick of it all the way over the most challenging of surfaces. There was no keeping them out of the water, highly charged with so much to find before their mates! Moving along the beach Betty got frustrated by a few remaining Brent Geese paddling just a a few meters offshore, like a shot splashing, leaping towards them the geese were totally unimpressed by her disturbance just headed further out frustrating Betty even more, who now had encouraged Jack and Winnie Ella to join in, returning to the shore Rolo leaped into action straight on top of Winnie with the others joining in the rough-n-tumble play. I love to see them chase each other in a wide sweep of the beach and turn on my whistle recalling them to my side, they're so well behaved, it's a joy to be with them.
Finally making it back to the van where the bedraggled little crew waited for their towelling down and dry poncho-towel keeping them warm and snug in their cage on the way home.
