SOUNDTRACK TO SPRING
The high tide today has put us back onto the North Coast Rozel, White Rock one of our summer cliff path routes, Jack and Winnie have joined Ella this morning. The signs of spring are everywhere with a warm breeze rising from the cliff, the edges of the footpath are becoming lush with new fresh herbage, the songs of song birds provide the soundtrack to our walk.
The buzz of bees and the call of Chiffchaffs, while below us seabirds seeking out possible nesting sites as they take advantage of the warm uplift along the cliff face. There is a lot to investigate up here, Jack and Winnie are excited with the different sniffs along the footpath, chasing the bumble bee that has ventured out of hibernation to stock up with a shot of nectar on offer by the early flowering Celandines and Campions providing the back note to the cliff's sound track, insects getting busy. The crew are like children out after being shut up for winter running in front looking back to check where I am like little yo-yos. They dash past me, this is what you call happy dogs!
